Bows before brows
My family is full of girls! My Dad has two sisters, my mum has two sisters, I have two sisters, my sister has twin daughters and now i'm lucky enough to have a daughter of my own!
Safe to say, we're pretty girly girls - I have an odd obsession with make-up, my sisters are now forced to like and wear the make-up I continue to force them to buy - and my mum has a love hate relationship with getting ready with me for events because of me forcing her to sit there and let me do her.... Make-up! (it's okay, I now make my mother-in-law get face-approval before leaving the house... lucky for her, she usually passes).
So I've developed a slight obsession for bows (I used to obsess over people's bad brows - now it's bows!). It started from when the twins were born and Amazon sold bows in every. different. colour. So naturally i bought them in... every. single. colour. because that's what a masi (maternal aunty) does - just buy oodles of unnecessary but adorably cute things.

Now I have Reyaana - it's getting a little out of control.
Initially most of my headband purchases came from Amazon, as well as bows from CottonOnKids Australia, H&M, clothes sets & next baby wear :) I never realised how much I relied on Amazon Prime until I went home to Australia for a month and had to physically go to the shop to buy baby formula!
My utmost favourite store is Olive Headbands. Handmade headbands made with love (and that's true because she is putting so much effort into making Reyaana's first birthday party headband). A beautiful part of the buying process (buying process? I need to stop with the marketing jargon)... is that 10% of each item sold goes to the Eden Farm Project in Zambia. Colette is SO creative, she understands a mums obsessions with bows, she has a little daughter of her own - being a follow Mumma , she's offering 15% discount to all Serina Gill MUA followers until Monday 11th September (scroll down for the code).
Tip: Keep an eye out for her Fiver Friday specials, a great way to add to your bow collection and give to charity!
So there it is - I've come out in the open about my bow obsession and you've got a discount until Monday! If anyone spots a big apothecary jar for madams bows - post me a link!
until next time...
